My opinion after 4 months and more than 20 games/experiences tested in Meta Quest 3

Hello, I wanted to tell you a little about my experience, I've been playing metaquest for about 4 months or so and I wanted to tell you a little about all the titles I've enjoyed up to this point, which are several, they're more or less the ones you can see here on the screen, I haven't played everything, especially the free ones, I haven't played them as such because I'm taking advantage of the 10-month subscription they gave me for buying the device, and anyway, that's basically it. Before I start, I want to give you, as they say, my opinion, which is what I hope for the most part, I'm playing first-person games that have a campaign mode, that is, no cooperative mode or anything online or anything like that, so for example, if you're looking for that type of title, my opinion may not be of much use to you, since again, they're not what I'm looking for, so it's basically that, some experience that's pleasant, that's interesting, that's for just one person, it's that simple, so above all, my experience that I've had with first-person shooter games, which I think is more focused on online games, so I'm going to tell you the same thing. I'll summarize quickly, so I can explain it now.

These are all the games that I have in my library, I haven't played all of them as I've told you, and I'm simply going to tell you about the ones that I consider the most interesting and that I've also played for at least a certain amount of time, so here, so as not to make it so boring, I already have several gameplays open here on YouTube, so you can also look them up and give your opinion. Another important point for me, and I already mentioned this in the video of my experience with the metaquests after two months, is that the investment part is very important to me and that I feel like I'm doing something in the game, that is to say that I'm not just putting a screen on my face and having a huge 50 or 60 inch screen, therefore this type of game doesn't make much sense to me, maybe for you, yes, but again, I'm giving you what I'm looking for, because it doesn't make much sense.

Demeo

For me, these types of titles are because they have very little interaction with the user, they basically just place some dolls, roll dice and really little else. I expect a little more from the experiences that can be enjoyed on these types of devices. I'm not saying they're bad or anything like that, but they're not what I'm looking for, it's that simple.

Red Matter

I have to give this title another chance, the thing is that that is also another problem that I
have, I've been playing for a few months as I told you but the games in which they are like this type of open world that you can easily move through any environment in the end end up giving me like vertigo or dizziness, I don't know how to express it but it's hard to assimilate them then ads sometimes a somewhat unpleasant experience but I don't really have much to say about this one, they are quite famous, they have very good graphics as you can see, this is the first one, the second one would look a little better but as I told you I have to give it another chance. At first it seems a little bland to me because I'm just starting and it's a bit natural but again I have to give it another chance to see how it is, it has a lot of good dynamics, it has a lot of good animations and apart from the graphic quality as you can see it is what you would expect for this type of titles.

Coaster Combat

I also bought this one, it wasn't in the metaquest but it caught my attention, it was cheap and the gameplay part caught my attention but that's basically it, they're the type of games that in the end I don't enjoy much, you play it for about 5 minutes and you've basically played 80 or 90 percent of it, in other words, you can't expect much more, it's simply the player stuck in a wheelbarrow and it rolls and you have to shoot the surroundings, that's basically it, little more to say, the graphics, well, they could be improved or they could be better.

BoomBox VR

These are my favorites and they are really some of the few games although they are simple but that really take advantage of the br, that is to say almost all the other games you can simulate it perfectly on a two-dimensional screen because you are simply interacting with the player and little else to say but this type of environment in which you are fully taking advantage of the controls that basically the sensor that you can move it anywhere and it automatically moves the screen this You simply cannot take advantage of a 2D type screen and you simply have to play it to know exactly what I am talking about and also this genre is one of my favorites they are of the biser type that at the end you hit any object in the case of beat saber they are lasers and destroying some boxes that one too I bought it I have it in my library they are the ones I enjoy the most and this one is something similar this also by the way I took advantage of it in a discount that appeared on the fanatical website in terms of graphics they can be improved if you compare it for example with beat saber

VR Footbal Unleasher

This one, as you can see, seems pretty ugly to me, quite visually horrible. This is another point that I also wanted to comment on at the beginning. I also make these videos a bit. It is precisely the theme of this channel. I am preparing a game that I hope that at some point I can also launch on as many platforms as possible, including this one, the metaquest. Therefore, I also build these types of criticisms in my head and precisely for that reason that I expose them is because they are things that I would take into account when launching the title and not only launching it but maintaining it over time on all
these platforms. I understand that this game will have come out for metaquest 1 or metaquest 2 directly but they never launched a graphic upgrade for the latest versions, which is common in some applications or rather it is not so common but some applications or some games have done it, which I will talk to you about a little later. In this case it was not like that and it is quite robotic, that is, really, for me it is not worth it. I have never played American football and I do not understand the rules. That surely affects a lot but it is extremely robotic. In all the scenarios, for example, you interact, you press a button and all the players in front of you automatically move as if they were robots because you are like a kind of captain. I didn't like it at all, so I wouldn't recommend it.

Astra

This is another one that I bought, I also love the astronomy part and everything that has to do with that but it was quite disappointing, the ending was extremely short. I'll give you a little bit to answer. You're simply in a spaceship and you're traveling towards the planets of the solar system, planets and other icy bodies, that is to say, moons, for example, I think it was nothing more than moons and one or two planets. In this case, I think it's on Titan. It seems to me to be Saturn's moon. Here's Saturn but it's very bland. I mean, basically it's a giant image or that's the experience it gives you because nothing moves, although I understand that on most of the planets, as there's no life, there's nothing, so they're quite static, but even so, the sensation it gives you is simply a giant image and you can't even move. The worst thing is that they didn't implement all the planets, they're not even just eight planets and they didn't implement all of them, they implemented a few, I don't remember which one it was, I think it was Mars. Well, obviously Earth wasn't, I don't think it was, for example, for Mercury and for Saturn and so on, they were directly some moons, which makes sense because these planets are gaseous and you can't position yourself on the surface but no matter how much there were many other bodies that you could
travel and they didn't take advantage of it and in the end the game was extremely short, little interaction is a bit what I comment when I'm doing this part of seeing the environment and so on, it is supposed that I could interact a lot with the scenario and I think that here they wasted a lot of all that but if you find it in some offer it may be worth it visually it is very pretty as you can see but it lacked both interaction and also adding some kind of gameplay that is not simply
grabbing things from afar. More than anything, it is not a game. I think that it cannot even be called a game but directly here it is like an experience. Even so, I do think that they wasted it a lot.

Siders Riders

This is another type of beat ’em up game, graphically it’s very pretty there you can compare it with the other one I was telling you about and I tell you that I was telling you that the graphics could be improved a little but although it looks very didactic it’s not really like that, that is to say I much prefer the experience of whipping or directly as if you were hitting with a saber because this is the end in most of it It’s simply you have to place your fists on the object and you no longer have to hit it to as who says indicate that well you broke it or you’re scoring points you simply place your fist and there you grab the balls which is what comes out little more to say it lacks a little movement

Zombieland

You could say this is the one from Zombieland, it really seems a bit childish to me, the zombies are simply throwing objects at you, I don't think it's for my audience then, but oh well, you can take a look at it, today it's simply shooting at zombies but again it seemed to me a theme that was a bit childish, not because of the zombie theme but because zombies can also throw things at you, and also very repetitive, I don't know, you might like it, surely a cooperative could be interesting if it has it but for me it's not, it's not one of the best, it's not what I'm looking for.

Warplane WW1

This one was also very curious, quite complicated, really. It's a kind of simulator, just as it says here, it makes me very dizzy, it doesn't make me dizzy but it does make me, as they say, sometimes when I start to move the plane I also move and I feel like I'm going to fall. Shooting is an issue, but well, it's that they released it as a simulator type, but that's basically it. Those who want to practice a game simulator, there you have it.

Down the Rabbit Hole

This one was also in the metaquest subscription, this one I again like more than any other experiences where I can interact or can feel useful, not just being a spectator since we basically have those two types of games or experiences, one is a spectator type like this one where you're going like a God watching the character move and another where you sit there shooting and so on, I always look for the first one because again to put on all this bunch of gadgets and so on is to feel useful and not just watching a scenario, I didn't like the theme very much either, it's a childish game, eh, I have to give it another chance but it's mostly some puzzles and so on, it didn't catch my attention much.

Is in Death

Graphically it's not the best either, this game has a very good reputation, precisely for Quest 2, I think it lacked an upgrade for Quest 3 or I don't know if it had one but I don't see it very well. And it wasn't very much to my liking either, I don't know if I was playing in campaign mode or in other modes and so on. But I was simply positioned in a high part and I was shooting arrows at the enemies, it's fine for a while but it gets repetitive, these are the games that I wouldn't play for more than 5 minutes from time to time and again it seemed a bit bland to me, especially in this part, I don't see much sense in the arrow part, for example, you see here that his hand is vibrating and everything else, I have never shot, I was always interested in archery but I have never been able to practice it because I need a large space, but let's see, when you have a bow, it is supposed that every time you tense it you feel greater pressure, therefore, as long as you feel the greater pressure, you know that the arrow is going to be faster, it is going to be stronger, it is going to reach a greater distance, all this obviously and it is obviously it repeats itself it is going to be lost in this type of implementations since here as who says the tension of the bow is the distance between the controls but in the end that is not translated or at least I did not not manage to receive it or I did not manage to take advantage of it I do not know I did not manage to transmit it or the game did not manage to transmit it to me to know exactly what speed the arrow was going to go then for me they lose all that it is simply a way like it happened to me with Batman a way that you make gestures to do some interaction as I told you in Batman that you have to put the controls on your head as if they were pieces so that Batman flies for me they are bullshit they are nonsense that with which nothing is gained as if in gameplay then really no it was not one of my favorites I played it very little and there I left it.

Jurassic World

This is another one that I also have to give a spin, my main problem is that it made me dizzy again all the games I had to move around at least I'm holding on a little longer the two months I could only hold on for 5 minutes and I had to turn it off because I really felt like I was going to leave now I can hold on for like 15 minutes but I still can't so that's it and also well graphically it's not very impressive they are like scenarios with very few colors if they had put a little more color I think it would have done better but I think that was the artistic environment that they chose so well so graphically.

Wallace & Gromit

It's there between there There it goes and goes It's more or less neither bad nor this one I played it just once It hasn't caught my attention much I don't know I think it's based on a little comic I don't know what the hell it is eh but for a little while I didn't even know what to do I got confused at the beginning I have to give it another chance graphics then I think it looks pretty good but it hasn't caught my attention much but I'm going to give it another chance there.

Green Hell Vr & song in the smoke

There is also this one I'm going to leave it for last I'm going to leave it for the end like this one this one is also another of the games that look quite a bit what happens is that they are a kind of simulators since you are in the Amazon and you have to fight against bugs and such graphically here it looks very good but I don't know I have to give it another look because when I was experimenting it I didn't think it looked like that too well it looks pretty ugly really that makes sense because they are open games it has many polygons it has many things around and usually the device can't take it anymore I don't know if you are playing it from the PC if it is there or what the hell but it didn't seem to me that it looked that good for the rest I don't know a little as mentioned it is difficult for me to follow this type of games in which you can move and more when you have so many things around and it also becomes a little tedious because they are games that you have to manipulate with many things which is exactly what I am looking for but also at least for the moment in which I am recording this video maybe in a year I can already play this without any dizziness or Nothing like that, but at least for the moment I haven't been able to take advantage of it, so if I have a displeasure simply by using the device
I can hardly say whether it is a rewarding experience or not, so I'll leave it there as a maybe.

Sweet Surrender

These are other games that I didn't love either I played it very little but they are the types that I would play for 5 minutes and that's it unless you play in a team or online It may be interesting it is simply moving around shooting at some robots the artificial intelligence at least for the levels I played was quite simple they simply follow you they shoot you and you hide and little else and that basically graphically it is interesting cartoon type but it didn't really catch my attention I really played it very little and there I left it this other one to see graphically it seemed very ugly to me I think it had an upgrade but I saw it horrible really the robots that were eating the machines were simply a species those that are around here those that you saw here I positioned myself next to them these things and they were literally that squashed square with a texture that is to say it didn't have any polygon or anything or the shape or anything it was like who says a drawing it was a texture applied it already looked very ugly it didn't impress me at all the gameplay part is a bit strange really but well I leave it there suddenly it would have to be analyzed more and so on but It didn't catch my attention at all.

 Asgard's wrath 2

And here within my favorites, which are precisely these that you can see, is this, I have taken advantage of it quite a bit, there is also the subscription, they are the best and I think it is worth it to simply have the meta to play them, I have almost passed it, I am missing like two hours but in the same way I am going to give a video, I am going to talk a little about it because as I told you, I have played Asgard's wrath so I would like to clarify some things and things that could be improved again, my opinion on all this since we are finishing is that on the one hand, if the Quest environment has been on the market for a long time, but if you already have that game there and you can play the new versions, I do not understand why they do not make an upgrade so much in the graphic part that is very important in these environments because you see the difference when there is a game developed for the metaquest like this one and others that came out in previous versions and that they simply do not update it for whatever reason, of course that depends a lot on each company but it is one of the things that I would take into consideration when I am creating a game that as the Hardware evolves I would also do a graphical update to present better environments and of course this can also be accompanied by better gameplay and any repairs that I see out there that are necessary, which most don't do. Anyway, this is a really great game and it is highly recommended. I will talk about it in another video.

Moss

This one also surprised me, I had already heard wonders about it, it is quite a lot, but it surprised me because as I told you, I look for more than anything else, these are experiences of this type in which you are fighting against the world, here there are two swords, well, a sword and an axe, and you go hitting everything that appears in front of you with a machete, that is, everything that appears in front of you, that is to say, they are games in which you find yourself interacting directly with the environment, while in this one you are a spectator, which is not so much what I am looking for. But well, as much as it is, it was very interesting, this is your player, you are simply visualizing him, and you move him around and he goes interacting. The part that I think also has a lot of gain here is that the animations of the rat player are from the devil, whether it is interacting or not, interacting with something, sometimes he tells you, look, he points at something, look, you have to do such and such a thing and he starts pointing, he gives you certain clues, sometimes he also changes the animation, for example, if he is in stealth mode, then they say that you are being married, then he tends to, as if to say, hide a little more, they are small. things that really make a lot of difference graphically it is not one of the best But it looks pretty good I can say it compared to others and I will also talk a little more in detail about it some little things that I consider curious in other videos but for the rest as I tell you Although it is not an experience in which I am directly in the game I found it very interesting and above all because the game that I am implementing if you have already seen the other videos on the channel that is the platform type I can also easily migrate it here which is another point that well I am already advancing a little this is a little also like this one that you have the player Although in this case you are in first person and in this It would be good that as it is you can see it there but there is always a God mode or at least that is what I call it which is precisely the
person who is interacting with the entire environment with the world itself but this game can easily be taken to other platforms that is to say that you do not have to directly use the brs which is also an important point for me that this I will also talk about in another video as I tell you because the game that I am implementing is for example to use it on consoles of steam PC video games etc. that is to say It doesn't necessarily have to be a BR environment because here you're not really winning much from the BR part because the main thing is to move the damn mouse from one side to the other jumping platforms

Mini Golf

This is another one that I really liked, it's from Minig, I've never played Golf, the only criticism I have here is that the physics seemed a little strange to me. But it may be just me because again I've never played Golf, but for the rest it's a very interesting experience. The graphics. Well, what you see could be better, but aside from that, it's really very interesting to play from time to time. So, nothing. I'll talk about this a bit in another video so as not to make this one too long. So, nothing. I hope you found the summaries I gave you about some of the titles I've played interesting, and without further ado, I'll see you in another video.
